About Legatus
Our Mission
Too many VA claims are denied or underrated — not because veterans lack eligibility, but because the claims process buries critical information in dense regulations and scattered resources. Legatus puts the VA rating criteria, evidence requirements, and preparation tools in one place — for veterans preparing their own claims and for the VSO offices that support them.
Built by a Veteran
Legatus was built by a U.S. veteran who went through the claims process and saw how much critical information is buried, scattered, or written in language nobody can parse. The rating criteria, evidence requirements, and deadlines are all public — but finding them and making sense of them takes hours most veterans don't have. Every feature in this platform exists to solve that problem.
What We Offer
- 927 condition rating guides — plain-language breakdowns of what the VA looks for at each rating level
- AI-powered analysis — nexus letter evaluation, denial analysis, buddy statement generation, and symptom-to-condition matching
- Evidence checklists — condition-specific documentation guides so you know exactly what records to gather
- Decision support tools — combined rating calculator, secondary condition explorer, presumptive condition matcher, C&P exam preparation guides, and appeal lane recommendations
- VSO Case Management Portal — a complete case management system for Veterans Service Organizations with a Command Center dashboard, 7-tab case detail, AI evidence classification, decision review strategy, and operational reports
- Consent-gated intelligence bridge — when veterans and their VSO representatives both use Legatus, claim readiness data flows securely between them with explicit veteran consent
