Every message is read by a person — Legatus is a small, veteran-built team, not a help desk. Find your reason for writing below: each one names the address it goes to and what to put in the message so the first reply can actually help.

Veterans Crisis Line
If you or a veteran you know is in crisis, do not wait for an email.
Free and confidential, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This is not a Legatus support lane — it is answered by the VA, by people trained for it, and it does not require a VA claim or benefits of any kind.
Where to write
Two addresses, six reasons. Picking the right one and bringing the detail beside it is the difference between an answer and a thread of questions.
Help using a tool
Something on the site is not doing what you expected it to do.
support@legatusos.comInclude
- The address of the page you were on
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
Report a bug
A page that errors, a control that does nothing, a number that looks wrong.
support@legatusos.comInclude
- What you did, step by step, before it went wrong
- Your browser and whether you were on a phone or a computer
- A screenshot, if you have one
Steps we can follow are the difference between a fix and a thread of questions.
Wrong VA information
A rating percentage, a diagnostic code, a deadline or a citation that does not match the regulation.
support@legatusos.comInclude
- The condition and the page it is on
- The line that is wrong
- The correct value, and where you read it, if you know
Every rating fact on this site is transcribed from 38 CFR Part 4. We check a report against the regulation before changing anything, and we write back either way.
Billing, cancellation, a refund
A charge you did not expect, or a subscription you want to end.
support@legatusos.comInclude
- The email address on the account
Settings → Billing — Cancel there yourself at any time — it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Never send us a card number. We cannot read one and cannot use one.
Export or delete your data
Your CCPA and GDPR rights over everything we hold about you.
support@legatusos.comInclude
- The email address on the account
- Whether you want an export, deletion, or both
Settings → Export my data / Delete account — Both run immediately and neither needs us. Write only if you cannot sign in.
A quote, a PO, or a security packet
For a VSO, a county veteran service office, a legal aid clinic or a statewide program.
vso@legatusos.comInclude
- Your organization, and roughly how many representatives need seats
- How many active cases you carry
- Your timeline, and whether you buy on a purchase order
For organizations
If you came here from a “request a quote” button, this is the right page. Write to vso@legatusos.com with the detail listed above and we will send back a written quote priced on your seat count, plus whichever of these you need for procurement:
- W-9 and vendor forms
- Security & data-handling overview
- Data processing addendum
- Accessibility conformance (VPAT)
- Audit & logging statement
- Pricing sheet & PO instructions
Pricing is flat per organization and never a percentage of a veteran’s back pay. A single office does not need any of this — the trial starts without a card and without talking to us.
Common questions
Is Legatus a law firm or a VSO?
No. Legatus is self-help software: it helps you understand the VA disability claims process and organize your own claim. We are not accredited, we do not represent claimants, we do not give legal advice, and we never file anything with the VA on your behalf. For case-specific representation, find an accredited representative through our VSO Finder.
Are the AI-powered tools free?
Partly. 12 tools need no account at all, and a free account adds 5 more including a single run of each AI tool, which does not expire. Paying is for building and managing the claim itself — the guided Navigator, your evidence vault, and deadline tracking. Our pricing page lists what sits on each side of the line.
How is my data handled?
Files are stored with private access controls in encrypted blob storage, with no public URLs. Text you type into an AI feature is sent to named providers to be processed, none of them train on it, and on document features your personal identifiers are stripped out before it leaves us. Every account can export or delete everything we hold, without asking us. Our privacy policy names each provider and what it receives.
Is there a phone number?
No. We are a small, veteran-built team and email is the only channel we can answer honestly — it also arrives with the page address and the detail we need to act, which a phone call does not. The Veterans Crisis Line, which is answered by phone around the clock, is a separate service and is listed at the top of this page.
Does our organization need VA accreditation to use the portal?
No. The portal is case management software for any organization that works with veterans on disability claims — accredited VSOs, county veteran service offices and legal aid clinics all use it. It confers no accreditation of its own, and accredited representation stays entirely with your organization. The free 14-day trial needs no card.
What we cannot answer
If you write with the facts of your claim and ask what to do about them, we will not answer that, and it is not because we are being careful. Legatus is self-help software. Advising a veteran on their own claim is representation, it requires accreditation under 38 CFR Part 14, and doing it without accreditation would put us — and the claim — somewhere neither of us wants to be. We will answer what the software does, correct anything we have published that is wrong, and point you to someone who can advise you.
