Is Legatus a law firm or VSO?
No. Legatus is an educational platform that helps veterans understand the VA disability claims process. We do not file claims on your behalf or provide legal advice. For case-specific representation, connect with an accredited VSO through our VSO Finder.
Are the AI-powered tools free?
Many tools are available on the free tier with daily usage limits. Higher limits and advanced features like evidence vault management and claim assessments are available on paid plans. See our pricing page for details.
How is my data handled?
We take veteran privacy seriously. Claim data is encrypted at rest and in transit. AI interactions are not used to train third-party models. Read our full privacy policy for complete details.
I found wrong information in a condition guide. How do I report it?
Email support@legatusos.com with the condition name and what needs correcting. Our condition data is verified against 38 CFR Part 4 and we take accuracy seriously.
Does my VSO need accreditation to use the portal?
The VSO portal is available to any organization that works with veterans on disability claims. While we welcome accredited VSOs, county veteran service offices, and legal aid organizations also use the platform. Start with a free 14-day trial to evaluate the fit.
