An irregular and often rapid heart rhythm originating in the upper chambers of the heart. Causes palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, and shortness of breath. Can result from cardiac conditions, hypertension, or toxic exposures during service. Rated based on frequency of episodes.
The VA rates this condition based on how often symptoms occur and how severe each episode is. The examiner will ask about the frequency, duration, and intensity of your episodes, as well as how they affect your ability to work.
