Rating Levels

Your uterus including the corpus and both ovaries were surgically removed (complete hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy).

What the VA looks for

Hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy surgical records
Pathology report confirming removal of uterus and both ovaries
Hormone replacement therapy prescribed
Surgical menopause symptoms documented
Post-surgical follow-up and endocrine treatment records

Common Pitfalls

⚠Not documenting whether ovaries were also removed, which determines 30% vs. 50%.
⚠Not filing for secondary conditions caused by surgical menopause (hot flashes, mood changes, osteoporosis).
⚠Not claiming the surgical scar as a separate condition if it is painful.
⚠Not connecting the hysterectomy to a service-connected gynecological condition.
