Understand what the VA looks for at each rating level — loading conditions…
A condition where pressure builds up inside the muscle compartments of your legs during exercise, causing pain, tightness, and numbness that goes away when you rest. It is common in runners and soldiers who do a lot of marching or running. The VA rates chronic exertional compartment syndrome by analogy based on how much it limits your activity.
The VA rates this condition based on how much it affects your ability to work and carry out daily activities. The examiner will focus on the functional limitations your condition causes, not just the diagnosis itself.
