You have near-constant debilitating symptoms from hepatitis A residuals including severe fatigue, weight loss, and liver impairment. Your daily life is greatly limited.

What the VA looks for

Near-constant fatigue and gastrointestinal symptoms
Substantial weight loss or malnutrition
Hepatomegaly confirmed on imaging
Abnormal liver function tests
Incapacitating episodes at least 6 weeks per year
Major limitation of daily activities

⚠Not documenting the original hepatitis A infection during service — get copies of lab results showing positive hepatitis A IgM antibody from your service treatment records.
