A type of inflammatory arthritis that occurs in people who have psoriasis, a skin condition. It causes joint pain, stiffness, and swelling, and can affect any joint in the body. The VA rates psoriatic arthritis based on disease activity and how it limits your ability to function.
The VA rates this condition based on how often symptoms occur and how severe each episode is. The examiner will ask about the frequency, duration, and intensity of your episodes, as well as how they affect your ability to work.
