Understand what the VA looks for at each rating level — loading conditions…
A bilateral condition characterized by musculoskeletal weakness and instability of both feet, making them susceptible to injury and unable to support the body adequately. Weak foot is rated based on the underlying condition causing the weakness. This is typically seen in veterans with peripheral neuropathy, muscle atrophy, or other neurological or musculoskeletal conditions affecting the feet.
The VA rates this condition based on how much it affects your ability to work and carry out daily activities. The examiner will focus on the functional limitations your condition causes, not just the diagnosis itself.
