Understand what the VA looks for at each rating level — loading conditions…
A condition where the bladder drops from its normal position and pushes against the vaginal wall, causing a bulge. Cystocele is often caused by weakening of the pelvic floor muscles from childbirth, heavy lifting, chronic coughing, or physical strain during military service. The VA rates cystocele based on the severity of voiding dysfunction, need for a pessary or surgery, and how much it limits daily activities.
The VA rates this condition based on the type, severity, and frequency of your symptoms. The examiner will evaluate your specific symptoms and how they affect your daily life and ability to work.
