Drooping of the upper eyelid that can partially or completely block the pupil, reducing your field of vision. Ptosis can affect one or both eyes and may be caused by nerve damage, muscle weakness, or trauma. The VA rates ptosis based on how much it obstructs the visual axis and the resulting visual impairment.
