Inflammation of the iris (the colored part of the eye), causing eye pain, redness, light sensitivity, and blurred vision. Can be triggered by autoimmune conditions, infections, or eye trauma sustained during military service. Rated based on the frequency of active episodes and any residual visual impairment.
The VA rates this condition based on how often symptoms occur and how severe each episode is. The examiner will ask about the frequency, duration, and intensity of your episodes, as well as how they affect your ability to work.
