Your ovarian disease causes symptoms that are not controlled by continuous treatment, with persistent pain, hormonal dysfunction, or significant functional impact despite medical management.

Multiple treatment approaches attempted without adequate control
Chronic pelvic pain affecting daily activities and employment
Hormonal dysfunction causing systemic symptoms despite HRT
Surgical interventions required (cystectomy, oophorectomy)

Common Pitfalls

⚠Not applying for Special Monthly Compensation (SMC-K) for loss of a creative organ if both ovaries were removed — this is frequently overlooked and provides additional monthly compensation.
⚠Not documenting hormonal effects of ovary removal or disease — premature menopause symptoms (hot flashes, mood changes, bone loss) from oophorectomy should be recorded.
